Empulsive Inc. is a US 501(c)3 nonprofit (dba Empulsive Ink, ein 88-1869344). Our aim is “Scientific inquiry into use of technology for free-market provision of basic needs.” Our focus is public benefit from Todreamalife and Savimbo scientific projects which promote UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We accept donations via ACH, Credit Card, PayPal, and wire transfer.

Our vision is that everyone will be able to use emerging technology to solve previously intractable scientific and social problems.

We were formed to solve problems with access too, distribution of, and information about technologies that provide sustainable livelihoods for the world’s most vulnerable communities.

ACCOUNTABILITY

We really admire the US Better Business Bureau service Give.org which sets awesome standards for charity accountability. We’re newly-formed but starting off right with transparent, standard practices.

  • We were founded in 2022 so many of our core projects are experimental and still under development. So we’re borrowing from the startup world and staying agile for the next 5 years until we achieve “product-market fit” and our core value propositions become clear.

    This means we have only 3 directors, all uncompensated, and we meet virtually based on revenue (>$50k in donations) or annually.

  • As we’re founded from the high-tech world and train technologist apprentices we all operate lean, work agile, and devoutly believe in metrics & KPIs. What works for small startups, also works for small nonprofits!

    We use Google OKRs for all our projects and track our outcomes in a public data dashboard.

  • We track all our financial expenditures with QuickBooks and standard third-party accounting practices. All directors have full access to financial software and accounts.

    Our operating costs are fully subsidized by the for-profit companies Todreamalife LLC, and Savimbo Inc. So our budgets are based on our projects and we do 100% granting to project beneficiaries and aims.

  • We’ve just been formed so we don’t have our most recent IRS form 990 available yet. But rest assured that when we do, you will be able to find it here.

  • We’re still refining bylaws, but the classics are in place.

    Empulsive Ink is a DBA of Empulsive, Inc. A US 501(c)3 nonprofit registered in Arizona.

    As a high-tech nonprofit we plan to go through 3 phases, mimicking the growth of startup.

    — Phase 1: Founding (Year 0-5) will be rapid growth, minimal infrastructure and lean decision-making with the three directors.

    – Phase 2: Growth (Year 5-10) will be increasing oversight, transition management, and expansion of What-Works projects to panel decision-making.

    – Phase 3: Stability (Year 10-15) will be distributed oversight via a wider network of Indigenous leaders and community governance, and depending on donations may transition to a full-time staff.
